The Offical National three peaks website

Three Peaks Adventure

With all our equipment together
And plans that have taken weeks
We are on our way with confidence
To tackle the National Three Peaks
You can climb them in any order
So armed with map, compass and whistle
We are heading North of the border
Travelling to the land of the thistle
The first mountain we have to conquer
To test the fitness of women and men
Is the highest climb of them all
To reach the summit of The Ben
For the route to the top of Ben Nevis
We will be taking the tourist track
This is the easiest route up there
And it won’t take long to get back
We will be up and down Ben Nevis
Just see how long that it takes

Before we are back in Fort William
And heading on down to The Lakes
We are now leaving The Ben behind us
Filled with anticipation we are alike
To go and climb the next mountain
And reach the summit of Scafell Pike
For the next stage of our mission
We are leaving from Wasdale Head
It is a quick and scenic route up there
At least that is what has been said
Then with Scafell Pike now completed
And all safely back down to our wagon
We are on the final stage of our journey
Heading down to the land of the dragon
For the route to the summit of Snowdon
We will take the Pyg or the Miners path
And our legs now tired and aching
Will think of a nice soak in a bath
Then all safely back to Pen-y-Pass
There is one thing we must do
That is give a special thank you

National 3 peaks walk - The Official Challenge Guide - BEST SELLER

To a wonderful back up crew
Then thank God it was safely completed
And it was not just all a dream
But what made it all possible
Was the help of the back up team
